1995 MAZDA MX-5

R-Limited finished in Satellite Blue Mica with the original red leather interior.

Factory specification includes the 1. 8 BP-ZE engine, Torsten limited-slip differential, lightweight flywheel, yellow front strut brace, rear chassis brace, BBS alloy wheels, Nardi wood steering wheel and gear knob, power steering, and electric windows. Just 894 examples were produced in Satellite Blue Mica, making it one of the rarest and most desirable NA special editions.

This car has benefited from a sympathetic restoration with originality and preservation as the primary goals. The paintwork had become tired with age, so all removable panels were removed, inspected, treated where necessary, repainted in the original Satellite Blue Mica, and carefully refitted. Particular attention was paid to known MX-5 corrosion areas including the rear wheel arches, lower front wing corners, and front chassis rails.

The car is fully original except for MeisterR coilovers and a Racing Beat Power Pulse exhaust. The exhaust is not loud but has a lower note than the original system that I find very well suited for the car.

The original Japanese windscreen was retained during the repaint, avoiding the risk of damage to this increasingly rare factory component.

The soft top remains fully serviceable, with only the rear plastic window showing some age-related wear. The original red leather seats show some wear and minor damage consistent with the car's age. While not perfect, they remain presentable and, in my view, do not yet warrant retrimming, preserving the originality and character of the interior.
