2007 BMW M6

We need to be completely clear from the outset: we simply cannot provide our warranty with this particular vehicle. That is not because we do not believe in the car. We have inspected it, driven it properly and invested in the important preventative work ourselves, but its age, complexity and specialist V10 drivetrain mean it falls outside what we can responsibly cover through our normal warranty structure. Any independent inspection is therefore more than welcome, and we will happily make the car available for a specialist to examine before purchase. Priddys Motor Company are delighted to present this 2008 BMW M6 Convertible, finished in Black Sapphire Metallic with Portland Natural Brown Full Merino leather and showing 82,707 miles. This is not the sort of car we generally retail anymore. We built much of our early reputation around specialist BMWs, but as the business has evolved, we have deliberately moved away from older performance cars. This M6 was simply too good to send through the trade. Its history, specification, condition and the way it drove reminded us exactly why we became so enthusiastic about BMW M cars in the first place. The naturally aspirated 5.0-litre V10 is the reason this car exists and the reason it remains so significant. The sound, throttle response and feel through the steering are things modern performance cars cannot genuinely reproduce. It is an engine and a car that have already secured their place in BMW M history, and this example gives the next owner the opportunity to experience it without one of the largest unanswered maintenance concerns hanging over them. The connecting-rod bearings were replaced approximately 500 miles ago by ourselves, which is one of the most important selling points on any V10 M6. The front brake discs and pads are also brand new and the rears are due to be replaced before sale too. Before the car leaves us, we will also complete a fresh engine oil and filter service, brake-fluid change and the relevant additional filters, leaving it properly prepared for its next owner. Its service portfolio is substantial, with nearly 20 recorded main dealer and specialist visits throughout its life. Across 82,707 miles, that represents an average interval of approximately 4,800 miles. It is exactly the sort of history we wanted to see before deciding this was an example worth keeping and offering ourselves. The Portland Natural Brown Full Merino leather makes a considerable difference to the interior. Rather than being limited to the seats, the leather continues across the dashboard and door cards, giving the cabin a richness and quality that most M6s simply do not have. Combined with Black Sapphire Metallic paintwork and the black fabric roof, it is a particularly handsome and individual specification. Further equipment includes a head-up display, heated seats, Electronic Damper Control, the M Power setting, dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth telephone preparation, BMW Online, BMW Assist and the original television and Teletext function. There have been five owners from new, with the most recent owner keeping the car since 2020. It is now being sold due to a lack of use rather than because of any known issue. The interior presents particularly well, and the condition of the Full Merino leather supports the impression that this has been cared for throughout its life. Specification is not what makes this car special; it merely adds to it. The V10, the extensive history, the recently completed rod-bearing work and the experience from behind the wheel are the real reasons we chose this example. After spending time with it, it became very difficult to justify simply passing it into the trade. We may have moved away from older specialist BMWs, but this one deserved an exception.
