1986 PORSCHE 911

Inspired by Porsche’s legendary Paris-Dakar rally cars, this 1986 Porsche 911 3.2 has been expertly transformed into a striking Dakar-style restomod, purpose-built for the 2025 Maroc Challenge. Fully restored before its safari conversion, it combines classic air-cooled character with genuine rally capability and is equally suited to road use, touring or adventure events.

Powered by a rebuilt 3.2-litre flat-six, with the engine rebuild completed by Design 911 during 2021–2022, the car has continued to benefit from extensive specialist maintenance, including substantial preparation before and after the 2025 rally. It was last serviced in May 2026 and is offered with an advisory-free MOT until April 2027.

The specification includes Tuthill gravel rally suspension, front strut brace, Rennline and Tuthill aluminium skid plates, 15-inch Braid Motorsport rally wheels with new gravel tyres, a rear winch, roof rack with spare wheel, jerry can and recovery ramps, auxiliary front rally lights, and iconic Rothmans-inspired 3M livery over well-preserved paintwork.

The semi-stripped interior features Recaro front seats, Tuthill five-point harnesses, a Momo steering wheel, fire extinguisher and Porsche floor mats, while the original rear seats are included with the sale.

First registered in the UK in 1999 after import from the Netherlands, the car has covered 136,999 kilometres and is accompanied by two keys, an extensive history file, numerous Porsche specialist invoices, a matching spare wheel and tyre, and documentation supporting its comprehensive maintenance. It was recorded as a Category D non-structural insurance loss in 2000.
