2002 LOTUS ELISE

Lotus Elise S2tourer K series 2002, bought by myself in 2006, once the unreliable K series engine had left the chat in 2011, I instructed auto-teknix to carry out their famously super reliable Audi 1.8t 20v conversion, a conversion which they invented they have converted a small number of S1’s and even smaller numbers of S2’s!,so a very rare car! , I opted for the 340bhp package which added a hybrid turbo IE forged conrods and larger injectors, they also use the Toyota engined gearbox cables giving it a really slick gear change it has a light weight flywheel and baffled sump, all running on an Emerald K6 ECU, to say it’s fast is an understatement, the Audi engine at the time of fitment was new, and the car had covered 37000 miles,other mods on the car include, Nitrons Clubsport suspension , with helper springs and custom springs, Nitron wishbone bearings kit, power coated wishbones, braided brake hoses, AP big brake kit, pagid pads running castrol SFR fluid, uprated anti roll bar and rear brace bar, Titan quick steering rack, with quick release steering wheel. Tillet lotus specific carbon seats, with Schroth 4 point race harnesses, it also benefits from an brand new heater box and fan motor and a pro Ali aluminum radiator, cooling has never been an issue, it’s fitted with a VR6 oil cooler and larger carbon side vents, Back on Track carried out most of the big mods, and the oil changes I’ve done, using expensive good quality oil, changing every few years regardless of mileage, admittedly mileage has been incredibly low over the last 5 plus odd years, this is due to having a young family and holding on to the fact I really don’t want to sell, but I have come to terms now with the fact it’s just a waste, and someone else could be enjoying it, rather than just sat in my garage, the only negative on this car, is that is does require front clam repair or replacement, they are made of paper!, and can’t take any sort of punishment on the front underside, so please be aware, there is tape holding it together in some areas, which has been no issue for myself when driving the car, the car comes with two sets of wheels and tyres, a forged set for the road and a set of Exige alloys with R 888’s for the track, I actually have a current official agreed insurance company valuation of £28000, it would cost a lot more today to build this car, standard K series car can be in the region of £16-18k
