1997 MAZDA MX-5

Clean late NA model MX5 for those looking at dipping their toes into classic car ownership. One of the cleanest NA MX5’s I've seen that has not had a full restoration. The condition of the car can be credited to the previous owner who had the car for several years and it was garaged during his ownership, as it has been with mine.

The car was MOT’d last month with no advisories. Engine runs smooth with no smoking or oil consumption. I have done around 12k miles in my ownership and the car has been completely reliable. Unfortunately the arrival of two children since purchasing this car in 2023 means it’s not getting used as much as it deserves.

Imperfections: Car is cosmetically excellent for a 28 year old car but not perfect. I’ve never been a fan of the chrome wheels (although my wife is, hence why they are still on the car), and they have some minor age related marks on them (no cracking or kerb marks). The car has a chrome rear luggage rack fitted which while being very practical for touring will not be winning any detailing awards any time soon. The paint on the rear boot lid could also do with a refresh but there is no cracking or corrosion so I have never got round to it.
