1997 LOTUS ELISE

Lotus Elise Series 1. Finished in Calypso Red with factory gloss black hardtop. First registered 27/09/1997 R-Registration. A truly exceptional and unmolested time-warp example and arguably one of the finest examples of its type available. Having covered just shy of 6800 miles from new this 2 owner car is a little bit special.

Owner 1 had the car from new in 1997 through until earlier this year when it was supplied to the 2nd owner by the official Lotus main agent, Bell and Colvill. Something Porsche, air cooled and interesting came up with ourselves and with undercover storage at a premium the Lotus gave way to the Porsche. Very much a genuine reason for sale. In the interests of completeness the original supplying dealer back in 1997 was Frosts Lotus.

Service history is fully invoice supported with all invoices present and correct from the first in 1997 to the most recent in 2025. The original stamped service book, pack and manuals accompany the large file of invoices and historic MOT certificates.

Very much a concours example. Lightly and selectively used, properly stored and empathetically driven (the car still retains all four of its original Pirelli tyres from 1997). Needless to say these will be replaced on the basis of age but tread depths at their lowest point remain at a 5mm!

All other aspects of the car are factory original – exhaust, interior trim, driving lamps, alarm e.t.c
