1929 Morris 12HP Cowley 'Flatnose', retaining its original buff log book confirming registration UK 6627 (chassis no. 294500)
Powered by a 1.5-litre (1,548cc/11.9HP) inline four-cylinder paired with a three-speed manual gearbox driving a wet clutch system
Suspension was by semi-elliptic leaf springs all round and retardation by four-wheel, rod-and-spring operated drum brakes
Discovered around 1980 by architect Gordon Foster whilst restoring a property in Walsall, beginning a sympathetic revival after decades of inactivity
Remarkable ownership history, having remained with its previous custodian from 1934 until its discovery some 46 years later
Carefully restored and returned to the road, now presented in superb order throughout whilst retaining an abundance of genuine period character and charm
Running and driving particularly well, offering an authentic pre-war motoring experience and a testament to the affection with which it has been cherished
Accompanied by an exceptional history archive housed in a period suitcase, including invoices, handwritten notes, correspondence and a fascinating collection of period black and white photographs documenting its earlier life
Your inspection is welcomed and encouraged to fully appreciate the quality, history and appeal of this delightful Morris Cowley
