Overview

Back in the day, BMW's M division took the Z3 Roadster and turned it into something properly serious. The wide-arched M Roadster borrowed its engine from the E36 M3, wrapped it in a reworked chassis with a limited-slip differential and a wider rear track, and delivered one of the most driver-focused roadsters of its era. The result was 321bhp, rear-wheel drive, a five-speed manual and not much else to get between you and the road.

This example is in iconic Estoril Blue and presents as a sorted, usable M Roadster that has been recently fettled underneath. In October 2025 both front and both rear coil springs and dampers were renewed, and a May 2026 service saw fresh oil and filter, a VANOS operation test (passed) and a new Bosch battery fitted. It sits on genuine forged M Roadster alloys wrapped in Michelin tyres, and the correct M specification is all present and correct: the S50B32 engine with its quad exhausts, M oval mirrors, chrome side gills, body-coloured roll hoops and two-tone leather cabin with M-branded dials.
