2018 VOLKSWAGEN ARTEON

I'm reluctantly selling my 2018 Arteon Elegance, with the 1.5 TSI engine and the rare 6-speed manual 'box, as I am changing job to one with a company car. It comes in metallic Pyrite Silver with black Nappa leather interior, and is is great condition, especially for an 8-year-old car.

Although I'm technically the third owner according to the V5C, I have actually had the car since it had 5 miles on the clock. It was originally a dealer pre-registration and my previous employer then bought it as a company car for me. When it reached the end of the standard 3-year replacement cycle, I liked it so much that I switched to a car allowance and bought it off the company, running it as my daily driver ever since.

Optional equipment on the car comprises:

- Reversing camera (hidden in tailgate badge)

- "Dynamic Light Assist" LED headlamps with cornering function and adaptive main beam

- 3 zone climate control (without rear controls)

- Electronic handbrake with auto-hold function

- Front and rear parking sensors

- Privacy glass

- Ski hatch in boot

- Automatic folding door mirrors with auto-dip function on passenger side

- Speed sign camera with display in head unit and driver's display

- MP3 compatible SD card reader

The car comes with a full service history, more recently carried out by local independents and VW specialists, with the latest service having been done in May 2026 at 66,000 miles. Spark plugs and brake fluid were changed in May 2025, a new battery with a 4 year warranty was fitted in January 2026 and the rear discs and pads were replaced in June 2026. Both keys and the locking wheel nut are present.

Current VW guidance for the 1.5 TSI engine, confirmed by Martins of Camberley service department, is that the cambelt should be replaced after 186k miles or 15 years, so that is nowhere near due.

The OSF wheel has some very minor kerbing (see the photo) and there are a few small stone chips on the bonnect, which have been touched up (they don't show up in a photo), but the car is in generally excellent condition for an 8-year-old vehicle.

The tyres are Michelin Pilot Sport 5s on the front (replaced in December 2024) and Continental SportContact 6s on the rear.

The MoT test runs until July 2027.
