Dating from 1960 and first registered in the UK on 20/02/1983, this attractive Mk1 MG A 1600 Coupé has been with our vendor for the last eight years and shows just one former registered keeper

Recently benefiting from an extensive nut-and-bolt, chassis-up restoration by marque specialists completed in June 2025 at a cost of £53,500, supported by invoices; driven directly into storage following completion and covering very few miles since

The comprehensive mechanical work included a full engine rebuild, rebuilt carburettors and a lead-free cylinder head, together with a new clutch assembly, clutch and slave cylinders, brake cylinders and discs. The rebuilt engine will require careful running-in by its next custodian

The chassis and suspension components were refinished in fuel-resistant black 2K paint, whilst the bodywork received a complete respray, changed from red to MGB Mineral Blue, complemented by new chrome bumpers and grille, a stainless steel boot rack, refurbished wheels and new tyres

The cabin was similarly refreshed with black leather-faced seats, new carpets and door trims and a wood-rimmed steering wheel, whilst a new windscreen and new front and rear screen seals complete what is a particularly appealing MG A Coupé, offered fresh from restoration
