1981 ROLLS ROYCE CORNICHE

Delivered new in July 1981 through H.R. Owen Ltd of London, this elegant Corniche Convertible was finished in Georgian Silver with a black leather interior and represents one of Rolls-Royce's most glamorous hand-built models

Remarkably, the car remained with its previous owner from September 1991 until being purchased at auction by our vendor in July 2025, having previously been owned from 1984 by a gentleman in Essex. During that long-term ownership, it was reportedly extensively enjoyed and travelled as far afield as China and Jordan

Since acquisition, our vendor has entrusted the Corniche to Rolls-Royce specialists Silver Lady Brentwood for a programme of mechanical and cosmetic attention intended to make it a more enjoyable and dependable proposition

Importantly, the original carburettor arrangement has been upgraded to SU carburettors, with the associated work forming part of an invoice for circa £5,000 on file. The car has also been serviced and various other works carried out

Attention has additionally been paid to improving the fit of the power-operated hood, further enhancing the presentation and usability of this elegant four-seat convertible
