1978 LOTUS SUPER SEVEN

This is a BEAUTIFULLY RESTORED , ultra rare 1978 CATERHAM SUPER 7 BIG VALVE TWIN CAM , that was famously banned from production sports car racing , as it was deemed " too fast to race " !

These early Caterham 7`s were still badged & registered as Lotus 7`s & this particular model being based on the original Lotus S3 Twin Cam SS , was the Super 7 of the 70`s !

Everything is right about this car ... all matching numbers , with the original chassis restored by Arch Motors ... fully rebuilt Big Valve Twin Cam Engine still with it`s original Lotus/Vegantune Steel Crank ... really nice original chrome dials & side lights (particular to these early Super 7`s ) , with lovely red piping interior & original Springalex steering wheel !

This Super 7 has had a meticulous & full restoration , to a very high standard ... drives superbly ... & now just requires final running in & enjoying !

"If" you could find one of these very rare Super 7`s ( most went abroad ) ... & then had it fully restored to this standard , it would cost you double the asking price !
