Overview
The E85 3.0si Sport might not be an M car but has much to recommend it. Pairing a naturally aspirated straight-six with rear-wheel drive and a folding fabric roof, it’s a combination that appeals in a modern classic. No turbos, no fuss, just a willing 265bhp six and an open sky above.
This particular car is finished in black over champagne (Sand) extended leather, and was first registered in March 2008. It's the sort of colour pairing that flatters the E85's long-bonnet, short-tail proportions, and in the metal it still has real presence.
Look closely and it presents brightly, the paint holding a good shine and the cabin wearing the kind of honest patina that says the car has been used and cared for. There's a stamped BMW booklet and a fat folder of invoices to back that up, so the story stacks up on paper as well as in person.
It all adds up to a usable, characterful modern classic that you can drop the roof on and drive tomorrow. We think it's a genuinely lovely example of a Z4 done right.

Summary
This is a Sport-specification Z4 3.0si in black over champagne leather, running the naturally aspirated straight-six, rear-wheel drive and electric soft-top that make the E85 such a rewarding thing to own. It presents well throughout and comes with a stamped booklet and a thick invoice folder to tell its story. As a usable modern-classic roadster that's ready to enjoy, it takes some beating, and we'd happily drop the roof and point it at a favourite B-road or extended road trip.
