The car is in outstanding condition for its age, having been subject to meticulous maintenance and care from new. Not to be confused with the usual tired and abused examples which seem prominent nowadays. Understood to have been an Audi management car when first registered, the second owner bought the car at 1 year old and kept it for 20+ years. It has by far the most comprehensive suite of documentation I have ever seen, including:

• All MOTs from new.

• Fully stamped service history

• All invoices spanning 25 years.

• Original book pack and Audi Sat Nav CD ROM’s

• Audi Approved Used bill of sale from 2001

Built to compete with the S-Class and 7-series, the A8 ‘D2’ was made by Audi with no expense spared, and the build quality really shows. I wanted a genuine unabused ‘D2’ A8 for years and it took a very long time to find this one which I bought it from a private collector in London 5 years ago. Since then it has been perfect for my regular long distance motorway commutes. Besides regular servicing (incl cambelt replacement using the genuine Audi kit) I have also addressed common issues and kept on top of wear & tear items. In the past two years this as included:

• Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres all round

• Discs & pads front and rear

• New rear calipers

• New OSF caliper

• Front hub knuckle & suspension arms

• Laser wheel alignment

• Gearbox fluid flush & service at 107K miles by Mackie Transmissions

• Drains cleared

Comes with spare set of original cream mats in mint condition.

Has some light stonechips commensurate with age, and otherwise extremely tidy for its age.
