Volkswagen CADDY PICK-UP 1.9 SD 1997

I purchased this 5 months ago as a project, and a run about, however like most projects they become more of a labour of love, after stripping the vehicle down it was evident it needed sorting out properly, with body rust being the main problem on these felicia pickup based Vw Caddy's, all rust cyst out welded up faired and painted.

The pickup needed various parts replaced to make it a reliable car again such as the following.

-New Gearbox & Engine

-New Bottom End Pulley

-New Tensioner Pulley

-New Front Wishbones & Balljoints

-New Anti Roll Bar Links & Bushes

-New Rear Lights

-New Steering Wheel (OMP Wood) working centre horn.

-New Flexi exhaust section

-New Bosch Wipers

-New Coolant & Thermostat

-New GlowPlugs

-New Tyres & Wheels powder coated

-New Throttle & Clutch Cable

-Injectors Removed & Cleaned by an Injection Specialist

Engine runs like clockwork no noises that are out of character for an AEF Sdi diesel, they can be intrusive when cold, this ones alot quieter now it's had the injection timing done, injectors done and a good fresh oil flush and only ran on BP Ultimate Diesel, once warm it's very quiet.

This car is very much a one off you won't see another one like it, I fitted porsche 924 seats in the car, one sadly has a rip but I'd planned to have repaired, car has no stereo but all wires are in place for one to plug right in, I fitted uprated Sony units into the door cards

Point to note...

The car was originally blue but resprayed white by the previous owner (engine bay still blue) there were many body work areas to address when I got it, as the original job was a custom pearl white is was near impossible to match, I did my best and had planned to respray the whole thing but areas that i attempted to match can be seen in certain light, obviously a full respray is the answer but the rust is dealt with.

New bonnet selling with car as the paint on the one fitted is not great again previous owners work (rough finish) but nothing major, being picky and honest.

Comes with a spare tonneau cover with bars identical to the one fitted, boxed unused.

The work that has gone into this caddy deserves more than the asking price, frankly it's a steal but it's still just a 97 caddy pickup, one of the best around tho and needs nothing

Tbh it's a lovely little unique car I'm tempted to keep it but the next project is just around the corner so it has to go to a good home.
