Nissan 180sx Type X

Here for sale is my Nissan 180sx Type X. It is a genuine Kouki import which are very hard to come by these days, not to be confused with a UK spec S13..

I have owned this car for coming up to 6 months now and It was always a car I wanted to own, it has not disappointed. My only reason for sale is that I am turning 25 next month and I can get cheaper insurance of higher performance cars.

I have carried out a few subtle modifications and improved a lot of things while the car has been under my ownership but most of the modifications were carried out by the previous owner to a very high standard.

The overall condition of the car is brilliant, it was resprayed last year and fully undersealed. The car was previously black and everything apart from the engine bay was resprayed, there are two slight blemishes on the paint but it doesn't take anything away from the appearance and presence this car brings. There is no rust at all anywhere on the car and it has never been in any bumps etc, the car is straight and true throughout.

With it being a Type X the car came from factory with the SR20det fitted, this was the Redtop SR (also known as straightcam) which benefits from not having VVT which is known for causing problems. The engine runs perfect, no smoke or knock and bangs. It was recently serviced with all new fluids, filters and sparkplugs. At the same time I had a Cometic multi layered steel headgasket fitted, the standard headgaskets are known to be the weak points on SR20's so this was changed so I could up the power in the future and not have to worry.

Performance wise the car is not much different from stock, it is running 0.9 bar via the Apexi boost controller and pulls well. It delivers great performance and can also be driven daily and return a good MPG. The exhaust is loud but the sound is savage!

This car attracts so much attention it is unreal, everybody looks at the car! I have had multiple companies getting in touch with me wanting to do photoshoots of the car and I have no doubt it would easily get a magazine feature.

The car has around 6 months MOT and tax till the end of April, the clocks read in MPH and the mileage is a combination of mainly KPH and some MPH and reads around 102000, this equates to around 65000 miles. This will go up slightly as this is my daily car.

Bad points:

The car has two cracks in the dashboard but these are covered by stickers and can hardly be noticed. The wheels scrape the arches on big bumps or potholes but this is to be expected by the stance of the car and width of the wheels. Th

Other than this the car is spot on! I will miss this car but its time for bigger and more powerful things for me. This car will be a complete show stopper for the summer and the amount of attention you will receive will leave you with a smile from ear to ear.
