1997 Westfield

For sale is my 1997 Westfield SEiW, powered by the 1.8-litre Ford Zetec engine and showing approximately 36,000 miles. The car was comprehensively refurbished by Toybox Specialist Cars in January 2026, prior to my ownership.

Importantly, this is a factory-built Westfield rather than a home-built kit, which makes it a particularly nice example for someone looking for a properly put-together, original-feeling car.

It’s a fantastic little sports car to drive – incredibly light, direct and engaging, and gives you the proper analogue Westfield experience. It looks especially good with the black detailing against the bodywork and has plenty of road presence for such a small car.

The car has an MOT until March 2027 and is ready to be enjoyed. The weather gear is included and, unlike many cars of this type, the roof keeps the cabin dry.

At nearly 30 years old, it isn’t being advertised as a concours car and there are some age-related marks and small jobs that a new owner may wish to attend to, but overall it presents very well and is a genuinely good, usable example.

I’m only selling because the car was bought for my dad and me to enjoy together, but unfortunately he doesn’t fit comfortably enough in it for us to use it as intended. Otherwise, I’d happily keep it.

A brilliant weekend car, summer toy or introduction to lightweight sports-car ownership, with the added appeal of being a genuine factory-built example.
