Description

Presented here is a beautifully preserved DBS, with the sought after “Carbon Black Package”, commissioned new for Fernando Torres it represents a rare intersection of sporting history and Aston Martin heritage and is one of the most distinctive and collectible DBS variants.
The Car
Delivered new in 2010 to Fernando Torres during his peak Liverpool era by Aston Martin, the DBS is the desirable Carbon Black Limited Edition and even features unique personalised plaques on the door sills stating “Hand Built in England for Fernando Torres”. Supplied with Hand-finished seven-layer AML Carbon Black metallic paint with an Obsidian Black Semi Aniline leather interior with Silver stitching and Full Piano Black veneers along with Carbon fibre mirror caps, rear lamp infills, and front and rear splitters. Options include the bespoke 1000W Bang & Olufsen audio equipment featuring rather unusual tweeters that rise out of the top roll on the dash and the more comfortable electric heated sports seats are fitted along with the 2+2 rear seat option. The headlining and steering wheel are trimmed in alcantara and the wheels are special 20in black and diamond turned alloys.
Provenance and Condition
Fernando Torres purchased the Aston in 2010 paying in excess of £160000 and the prolific goal scoring footballer kept the Aston for 5 years covering more than 7000 miles in it before passing it to a “football memorabilia” collector and Fernando Torres fan, who hardly used the Aston during his ownership. The current owner, a friend of the second owner, purchased the Aston in June 2018 and has continued the conscientious maintenance and careful use of the DBS. The most recent work being a major service and inspection at Chicane the renowned Aston Martin specialist in July 2026. This Aston Martin DBS comes with all its original keys and manuals and unusually the “Aston Martin” umbrella is still present in the boot. Along with the fully stamped owners hand book there are many invoices and previous MOT certificates, many in their original “Aston Martin” presentation folders verifying the mileage and provenance of this Aston.
This Aston Martin DBS is presented in the condition enthusiasts hope to find as typified by
• Correct original 20in black and diamond turned alloy wheels correctly shod with matching Pirelli PZero tyres
• All the original keys and equipment included with the car
• Headlights in great condition without crazing
• Original interior with minimal signs of wear and everything working as it should
• Low owners and low fully documented mileage with celebrity provenance
• Recent major service and inspection by marque specialist
On the Road
To understand why the DBS is so special to drive, it’s necessary to quote Jeremy Clarkson from his 2007 Top Gear review in which he said “Think of the DBS as a DB9 where every little piece is a little bit better”. Then add ceramic brakes, an upgraded chassis featuring an adaptive damping system which transforms its ride and levels of road holding to levels previously reserved for sport pack upgrade cars and turns the car into more of a sports car than previously.
The interior is a special place to be with the redesigned front facia stack and subtly added carbon fibre inserts. Simply magnificent.
Market Context
• Relative scarcity, of the 2536 DBS Coupes built only 157 are Carbon Black Edition cars and only 50 are RHD
• The James Bond connection with appearances in “Casino Royale” and “Quantum of Solace”
This example’s condition, provenance, rare and desirable Carbon Black Limited Edition specification place it among the more compelling Aston Martin DBS’ available today. Add in the “Fernando Torres factor” and this really is a desirable car.
Conclusion
This Aston Martin DBS is a beautifully presented example of one of Britain’s most distinctive performance cars, these Aston Martin DBS V12s are stunning long distance tourers in the old school tradition of mighty front engine, superb chassis and an interior that is a lovely place to be combined with plenty of space inside and for luggage. They are also comparatively rare with only 2536 coupes made, the Carbon Black Special Edition being particularly desirable.
This particular DBS looks absolutely stunning in its Carbon Black on Black colour scheme, colours that really set off the aggressive lines of the DBS. It blends limited production numbers, high-performance mechanicals, and iconic cinematic and sporting heritage into a final analogue package.
Presented by Racing Lines Hampshire, this Aston Martin DBS is ready for its next enthusiast custodian — someone who values authenticity, design, and the enduring appeal of a true British icon.
