The McLaren 650S is already a formidable thing. The 650S Le Mans takes it further still, a limited-run tribute built to mark 20 years since McLaren's outright win at Le Mans in 1995 with the McLaren F1 GTR, and one of the rarest derivatives of the 650S ever produced.

Beneath the visual changes sits the familiar 3.8 litre twin-turbo V8, producing 641bhp and 500lb ft, enough for 0-62mph in 3.0 seconds and a top speed of 204mph. The Le Mans edition adds a reworked front bumper with a wider splitter, a fixed rear wing in place of the standard active item, and a titanium exhaust system that trims weight while sharpening the exhaust note. A standout feature is the roof-mounted snorkel intake, feeding air straight to the engine just behind the driver's head, and filling the cabin with an induction note that few other road cars can match. McLaren built just 50 examples worldwide, each one numbered.

This particular car has covered just 1,400 miles from new and is finished in Sarthe Grey, a shade created specifically for this edition and named after the circuit itself. It rides on Le Mans-specific alloy wheels and carries the model's distinctive livery detailing, marking it out immediately as one of the 50.

Inside, the cabin is trimmed in the standard black and orange scheme, Carbon Black stitching and highlights set against black leather and Alcantara, a nod to the papaya livery that carried McLaren to victory at La Sarthe. With the snorkel feeding air just inches from the cabin, every throttle input is accompanied by a raw, mechanical soundtrack rarely experienced in anything short of a race car.
