A genuine Peugeot 106 Quicksilver that deserves saving. These are becoming increasingly difficult to find in original, unmodified condition, and this example has covered just 78,770 miles from new.

I bought the car as the second owner in 2011, and would love to get it back on the road myself, but have realised I don't have the time to take it any further, so it's available for someone looking for a worthwhile restoration.

* 2001 Peugeot 106 Quicksilver.

* 1.4 petrol TU3JP engine.

* 78,770 miles.

* V5 in my name and only one previous owner.

* SORN.

* 2 keys and original handbooks.

* Never modified/lowered/engine swapped.

The car starts, idles well and drives under its own power. I've recently recommissioned it after a period off the road so it can be loaded and moved easily.

Recent Work

* Fresh engine oil and Bosch oil filter fitted.

* Brakes freed off after standing.

* Interior thoroughly cleaned.

* Mould treated and removed following storage.

Good Points

* Genuine low-mileage Quicksilver.

* Largely original and unmodified.

* Engine runs well.

* Straight body with good Quicksilver trim and interior.

* A great base for restoration rather than another car being broken for parts.

Honest Description / Known Issues

I'm trying to be completely upfront about the work required.

* No MOT and currently SORN.

* Previous MOT advisory for corrosion around the **offside seat belt anchorage / floorpan**. This area will require welding before returning the car to the road.

* There is a water ingress issue that I haven't fully traced, suspected to be the sunroof. The interior has been cleaned, dried and is currently dry, but the source of the leak will need investigating.

* The brakes are still a little sticky from standing and will need replacing, although the car rolls and drives.

Sale Details

This is a running and driving restoration project, not immediately a ready-to-use daily driver.

The car will need to be collected on a trailer due to being SORN and requiring welding before MOT.

I have Bosch air, fuel, and cabin filters, plus spark plugs I will include.
