Reluctantly offered for sale is my 1997 Caterham Seven, powered by the classic 1.6-litre Ford Crossflow.

The car was professionally kit-built by a garage, has had just 2 owners and has covered approximately 30,000 miles.

It is Q registered and presents extremely well in its distinctive Gulf-inspired blue and orange race livery.

The Crossflow has been converted from its original carburettor setup to electronic fuel injection with MaxxECU management and crank-triggered ignition.

Importantly, the original twin Weber 40 carburettors are included with the car, so the next owner has the choice of keeping the modern fuel-injection setup or returning it to the traditional twin-carb Crossflow configuration.

Also included is a spare rear axle, together with other useful spares.

This is a traditional live-axle Crossflow Caterham with the desirable 5-speed gearbox. It's a wonderfully involving car to drive and retains all the character, noise and simplicity that makes the earlier Sevens so much fun.

I also have an enclosed vehicle box transporter trailer, purchased specifically for transporting the Caterham and costing approximately £2,500.

The trailer can be made available separately or included by negotiation as part of a complete Caterham package.

This would make an excellent ready-to-go setup for somebody wanting to use the car for track days, shows or events without having to drive it to and from the venue.
