Description
1/125 ABT RS7-R
The second generation RS 7 Sportback was first unveiled at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, with a twin-turbocharged and intercooled 4.0-litre DOHC 32-valve V8, featuring an aluminium block and heads, and direct fuel injection. As standard, it produced 591hp and 590 lb ft of torque, and drove all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic gearbox, with as much as 85% of power sent to the rear axle. It also introduced a new mild-hybrid system that helped fuel consumption by allowing the engine to coast over short distances, and the stop/start to kick in from speeds as high as 13mph. The V8 could also switch to a V4 under light throttle loads.
The second-generation car gained 40mm in width, has five seats rather than four, featured a new 5kg lighter 22-inch wheel, and stripped out 8kg of sound deadening from between the engine bay and interior. The Vorsprung trim highlights include five-spoke Y-style wheels, a panoramic glass sunroof, the Matt Carbon Black styling package, RS-sports suspension Plus with Dynamic Ride Control (DRC), and the Tour and City Assist packs.
This RS7-R is one of just 125 examples modified and tuned by ABT Sportsline. While a standard Audi RS7 comes with 591bhp, the ABT Sportsline version produces 740bhp and 679lb ft of torque via the ABT Power R upgrade, which drops the RS7s 0-62mph time down from 3.6 to 3.2 seconds, and includes a two-year guarantee.
To transfer the extra power to the road as efficiently as possible, ABT offers two tailored suspension settings, comprising ABT coilover suspension springs and sports anti-roll bars.
Elsewhere, theres a bodykit, ABT Sportsline high-performance HR 22-inch wheels, and carbon fibre trim for the front grille, front lip, rear spoiler and rear skirt. Also included are a range of interior modifications, such as ABT leather, a carbon finish for the steering wheel, and the ABT seat upgrade with RS7-R logos.
