Supplied new on the 28th of April 1989 to a Mrs McKenzie by Toyota Stourbridge. Fitted with the cherished number plate "3401 AC" from new until March 1992.

It was then purchased by a Mr Horton from Pinkstone of Stoke Toyota in November 1992 at 15,329 miles with a bill of sale in the service history showing a price of £7,495

Mechanical Condition:

This 1989 model is very desirable in that it features all the improvements added to the generation 1 MR2 providing superb reliability and the best driving experience. The 1.6 litre inline 4 engine is extremely reliable, loves to be revved and can be exploited and enjoyed on UK roads. The 5 speed gearbox was also improved and features tight, precise shifts along with larger brakes and improved rear suspension. The MR2 is driving Nirvana compared to many modern cars with the perfect recipe of lightweight, high revving naturally aspirated engine, superb gearbox and mid engine layout. Exterior Condition:

This 1989 model features colour coded styling and presented in its original colour of Light Blue Metallic with original pinstripe still present. The original 14 inch teardrop wheels are still fitted and this example is in very original condition with Pinktstone Toyota stickers and number plates still fitted. Additionally, factory stickers in the engine bay and under the bonnet are still present. This example has the rarest roof variant which does enhance interior ambience also. Bodywork is in excellent condition for the year as per pictures with no visible corrosion or damage. Individual body panel and wheel pictures available on our site.

Interior Condition:

A very original interior also with period correct seats, original Toyota audio, original stickers on the glass etc. There are no lingering cigarette or pet smells. There is no wear damage to the seats or carpets, all in good condition. The interior is commensurate with low mileage.
