1988 FORD FIESTA

This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Classic Sale at the NEC Classic Motor Show 2026 on Sunday the 15th of November, NEC, Birmingham, B40 1NT.

First registered on 27th June 1989, this increasingly collectable, very late production Mk 2 Fiesta XR2 indicated 57,040 miles at the time of cataloguing, supported by an impressive collection of historic MOT certificates, the earliest dating from 1992

Acquired by our vendor in February 2024, the car is accompanied by a history file with selection of invoices dating back to the early 2000s

The service book contains at least 20 service stamps spanning 1990 to 2024. Most recently, in 2024, £2,500 was spent with Ford specialists on a comprehensive service and further maintenance, including engine oil and filters, brake fluid, cambelt, spark plugs, a new battery and attention to the electrical systems including — even down to replacing the original radio backlight bulb!

Great care has been taken with the car's presentation and specification, including sourcing the correct factory spotlights, whilst the period radio, trim and correct 'pea-shooter' exhaust remain in place. The engine bay is notably clean and well presented. whilst the underside and has been treated with Lanoguard for additional protection

The interior is described as being in exceptional condition. Supplied with its Ford owner's literature, including the vehicle and stereo booklets, stamped service book, both sets of keys and an MOT valid until April 2027, issued with no advisories.
