⭕ VEHICLE SUMMARY

A handsome example of one of Britain’s most characterful sports cars, combining muscular styling and straight-six performance with a useful power-steering conversion.

Introduced in 1969, the TR6 continued the established Triumph sports-car formula of a strong separate chassis, front-mounted engine and rear-wheel drive. Its broader, more angular styling gave the car a distinctly purposeful appearance while retaining much of the proven engineering found beneath the earlier TR5.

UK-market examples were powered by a 2,498cc straight-six engine equipped with Lucas mechanical fuel injection. In its early form, this produced a factory-quoted 150BHP and gave the TR6 particularly strong performance for a British sports car of the period.

This 1971 example comes from ~4 years with our vendor, it is finished in a deep burgundy colour with a black interior, wood-veneer dashboard and painted steel wheels. Its chrome bumpers, compact windscreen and folded black hood complete the wonderfully traditional appearance.
