Chances are if you’re looking at this ad, you already know a fair bit about the 991.1 GTS. But what will keep you reading longer than other examples is the length of this one’s specification list. It is undoubtedly one of the most extensively optioned examples produced with more than £30,000 spent on top of the base price.

Launched back in 2015, the 991.1 GTS hailed Porsche continuing its concept of cherry-picking a number of key options from the configurator and packaging them up as the most sporting variant of the 911 Carrera range.

The 991.1 GTS is particularly significant though as it marked the end of an era many still mourn - the last naturally aspirated 911 Carrera models.

Experiencing this 3.8-litre, Powerkit-equipped powerplant today is a joyful reminder of just how good we had it back in 2015. Its sonorous induction note hardens under load at around 3000 rpm, before evolving into a spine-tingling crescendo in the upper reaches of the rev range. You feel every single one of its 430 bhp building as it howls around the tachometer.

Delivered new on the 3rd March 2015 via the Porsche Retail Group in Reading. One could reasonably assume it was in fact ordered by Porsche GB itself, given the carefree approach to the order form.

Now only showing 28,495 miles from new, this is one of the very best examples you will find.

Original paint is evident on every panel and the front end of the car benefits from PPF to ensure this remarkably well-preserved example stays that way. Close inspection of the door shuts, frunk and engine compartment further support its originality.

Externally Agate Grey is a well-loved colour for many Porsche models and suits the GTS brief perfectly, especially paired with the Garnet Red two-tone full leather interior option. This rarely seen interior is deeper in colour than the photography suggests and offers a gentle contrast that brings life to the often monochrome expanses of a 911 interior.

Extended leather abounds and pleases those who look more closely; seat backs, air vent slats, climate control panel, PCM panel, fuse box covers… it goes on.

Thankfully the history with the car is also reassuring and a lesson in how to look after your 911. Every service has been completed by Porsche, with all but one at Porsche Centre Brooklands, always a hallmark of a well-looked-after car.

Furthermore, the car offers its next keeper total peace of mind as it benefits from being under an official Porsche Extended Warranty until 21st February 2027.

The full specification of this fantastic 911 GTS really warrants some attention as it stands head and shoulders above other examples. From the frankly incredible Burmester sound system to the heated and ventilated, 18-way Sports Seats to the surefooted stopping power from the PCCBs - it really is a very special car.

The current owner of this car has elected to have the wheels refinished in metallic silver, a slight change which really adds a new dimension to what we are used to seeing on a GTS. Since this example also comes with the silver LED headlight option, there is a real harmony to it which sets off the car superbly.
