Description

Chassis no. WP0ZZZ99ZTS392071 was produced on the 12th of June 1995 and supplied new on 28th September 1995. The car was 1 of just 17 cars reportedly delivered new to Japan, and one of just 172 road cars built. This example nearly wasn't built, as the first owner amended his original order for a 993 GT2 in race specification, after he was made aware by the supplying dealer that the factory had confirmed a short run of street legal examples. Correspondence from the agent on file.
The letter of origin on file from Porsche confirms the car was produced to Japanese specification, left hand drive, and was sold on 28.09.1995 in Polar Silver Metallic A8A8, with black leatherette bucket seats with dark grey leather inlays. Correspondence of file also confirms it was also fitted with the highly sought after earlier Sports steering wheel- also used in a GT1.
There is a comprehensive history file containing the aforementioned order and specification correspondence between the first owner and the agents together with original Japanese Porsche service books, stamped and a file of invoices from Australia and the UK showing that the car has been regularly maintained. Also on file is Porsche specialists Jasmine Porschalink's list of all services undertaken between March 1997 at 3,714 kilometres and June 2024 at 34,010 kilometres (27 in all) plus the service book stamped by Porsche and various independent specialists. Invoices for all work done after June 2019 are on file and the car was MoT'd to May 2025.
Imported into the UK in February 2020, the car was acquired by the current owner for his collection in February 2021. Since then it has been driven regularly, attending the Le Mans Classic in 2022 and various local Porsche events. The car also has a full professionally fitted PPF.
As one would expect with an example of this quality, the car comes complete with handbooks, tools, jack and the original exhaust system (a sports exhaust is fitted at present). As road-going GT2s seldom come to market, and many of those road cars were still used competitively, the opportunity to acquire an unmolested low-mileage and low ownership example is one not to be missed by the discerning Porsche or supercar collector.
