This is a car I’ve continued to spend money on and maintain properly rather than simply running it until sale. The mileage is reflected in the price, but the condition, history and recent expenditure make this a particularly good example for someone looking for a usable, properly maintained Mk7 Golf R without paying £10k+ for a lower-mileage car.

SERVICE HISTORY

The car comes with its original service book, containing 8 recorded service entries over its life.

The history includes servicing by Volkswagen dealers and established VW specialists, including Arnold Clark Volkswagen, Marshall Volkswagen and Corne Motors.

Importantly, the servicing didn’t stop with the last entry in the book.

On 29 September 2025, at 114,522 miles, the car was serviced by VW & Audi Specialist.

The invoice confirms:

They are therefore in excellent cosmetic condition, rather than the kerbed/marked wheels commonly found on cars of this age.

CONDITION

The car is in very good condition for a 2014 car with 128,400 miles.

The car has been used and enjoyed, so this isn’t being presented as a low-mileage garage queen. It is a high-mileage Golf R, and I’m being completely upfront about that.

What matters to me is that the mileage is backed up by a genuine history and continued maintenance, including a documented Haldex service, recent engine service, four new tyres and professionally refurbished wheels.

The original service book, specialist invoice and tyre invoice will all be supplied to the new owner.
