EXTERIOR

The twin-turbo Supra has become an icon of 90s Japanese motoring, and while JDM examples are relatively plentiful, genuine UK-supplied cars are a very different proposition. Built to a higher specification for our market and sold in tiny numbers, finding one today is difficult enough; finding one as well preserved and unmodified as this is rarer still – especially with that all-important third pedal.

Finished in gleaming black and boasting a comprehensive UK service record, this example remains in truly excellent condition. The car has reportedly been garaged away from the elements for at least the last three ownerships, and the benefits are evident throughout. The paintwork has just been treated to a full detail and machine polish and, quite remarkably for any 30+ year old car, it’s almost entirely original from the factory.

Free from any aftermarket additions, the factory aero package remains intact, including the active front spoiler; UK-specific features such as the bonnet scoop and headlamp washers are also present and correct. Unlike the majority of Mk4 Supras that have lived through successive generations of modification and/or restoration, this one presents with the reassuring consistency of a car that has been preserved rather than restored. Even the original 17-inch alloy wheels are still fitted, and for the new keeper’s peace of mind they’re shod in brand new tyres all round.

INTERIOR

The cabin is trimmed in cream leather, and much like the exterior of the car it’s impressively original throughout. UK specification brought a generous level of equipment including heated front seats and an electrically adjustable driver's seat, but more importantly from a collector's perspective, all the original details remain intact; everything from the factory Toyota stereo to the correct footwell overmats are retained. The seats, carpets, and switchgear have all worn extremely well, the condition reflecting both the modest mileage and obvious care afforded to the car over the years.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Here, Toyota's legendary 3-litre 2JZ-GTE twin-turbocharged straight-six is paired with the highly desirable six-speed manual gearbox. The 2JZ engine is notable for its incredible strength and tuning potential, but what makes this particular example so significant is what hasn't been done to it. Remaining entirely in its factory specification, the car has never been modified to run increased boost, both original catalytic converters are still fitted and so is the standard exhaust. Better still, it’s accompanied by a thoroughly documented maintenance record with no less than 30 entries in the original service booklet, 28 of which are Toyota main dealer. The last service was carried out in August 2026 at the current mileage by Supra specialists, Retro Roadsports.

HISTORY FILE

This surely unrepeatable UK-supplied Mk4 Supra was first registered in February 1995. It was originally sold through Linn Toyota and has now driven only 82k miles in the hands of 6 owners. Reading through the paperwork it’s clear to see that the car has always been maintained to a high standard and has never been allowed to fall into disrepair. The service book is fully stamped from new and is supported by a thick raft of invoices and MOT certificates, further verifying the low mileage. The original leather Supra document pouch is also included with all handbooks and leaflets still present inside. The amazing service history is listed below, and for additional reassurance we have just had a full mechanical inspection carried out along with an AC re-gas and four new tyres.

The term ‘unicorn’ is frequently overused in the classic car world, but for a Supra of this calibre and originality it feels entirely appropriate. This would be a very difficult car to replicate – an extremely well preserved, completely standard UK Twin Turbo manual with exceptional provenance and low mileage, ready to be driven and enjoyed.
