1996 FORD ESCORT

This was one of the last of it’s kind, the 1996 Escort RS Cosworth.

Bought by John McGurk in 2014.

Finished in Radiant Red over Raven Black Leather Recaro Seats. This is the small turbo example made specifically for road use rather than the earlier large turbo examples homologated for the rally cars. This is a genuine Lux Pack example with full leather, Air Conditioning, a Glass tilt/slide Sunroof, Quick Clear Heated Front Screen, Electric Heated Door Mirrors, Opening Rear Quarter Windows, Heated Headlamp Washer Jets, Leather Covered Steering Wheel, Rear Centre Arm Rest.

This car is particularly original even the exhaust remains untouched and that’s why I bought it in 2014. I had looked at many cars but none were quite right. This car still shows off the original paintwork. The tyres have been changed but nothing past that. No modifications.

Supplied with a history file from the first owner who unfortunately passed away and left it to his son who wasn’t a car person. A car dealer then bought and sold it to myself. I have maintained it in my own workshop regularly.
