2012 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER

Few cars can take a young family from Surrey to the Alps in this kind of comfort, which is exactly why I bought it. It's the last shape of the "original" Range Rover, in Autobiography trim - about as good as this generation gets - finished in black with Ivory leather, and it still has real road presence. I've owned it since 2020 and it's covered several European road trips with us, including runs down to Italy, France, Switzerland, Belgium and Germany. It's on 115, 288 miles, all of it backed up on paper.

The 4. 4 TDV8 diesel and automatic gearbox make for a relaxed, effortless drive, and it's the air suspension where this car really comes into its own. It soaks up poor road surfaces and just glides over them, isolating you from the outside world in a way that reminds you you're driving something a bit special - exactly what you want for long distance touring. Terrain Response is there if you ever want to head off road, though I'd guess most owners of these never do. Steering and brakes both feel exactly as they should for a car of this size and weight.

The car presents well for its age. The leather remains supple and the seats still feel firm, with just a little natural sagging to the driver's bolster which you'd expect at this mileage. The paintwork and body are in a good condition, showing the sort of light wear you'd expect on a car this age. There are no obvious signs of rust in the usual places and the car has had proactive rust prevention treatment around the rear arches and sills.

Comes with 2 keys, both working, full service book, and original owner's manuals in the Land Rover wallet.

There are cheaper L322s out there, but few with this spec, level of documented history and condition behind them - the price reflects that.

Note: the car currently carries a private registration, which will be removed prior to sale. It will revert to its original registration plate.
