An outstanding tribute to the iconic Shelby Cobra, this AK 427 SC has been finished beautifully in traditional Shelby Blue Metallic paintwork with painted Wimbledon White Le Mans stripes, a truly stunning car in every detail. Completed and IVA approved in March 2014, this Cobra is powered by a 6.3 litre V8 crate motor (383 Stroker), producing 420 bhp and 430 lb ft of torque. The engine was built and supplied by Custom Power and has covered just 10,500 miles. The car sits on fully reconditioned Jaguar running gear and benefits from hydraulic power steering, making it more usable and responsive on modern roads. It features a 5 speed manual gearbox with a period correct shifter and a 3.54 Power Lock differential. Other mechanical highlights include a front mounted oil cooler, big bore 4 into 1 side pipes, and a beautifully detailed engine bay, fully polished and clad in stainless steel. The interior is finished in immaculate beige leather and retains a traditional dashboard with the original style instrument layout, including a reverse action speedometer. A wood rimmed Moto Lita steering wheel adds to the authentic look and feel. Externally, this Cobra includes other period correct features such as bonnet rivets, roll hoop, quick lift jacks, P700 headlamps, traditional rear lights and indicators, Willans harnesses, Le Mans style fuel filler, polished stone guards, and Hallibrand style CHT alloy wheels with wired spinners. It also comes with the AK factory manufactured soft top and side screens for all weather use. Registered on a 1966 age related plate, this is one of the most authentic looking Cobras currently available and has been engineer built to an incredible standard. Supplied with two sets of keys, four detailed folders including build receipts, photos, and wiring diagrams. The car has covered under 100 miles since its last service and has a current MOT to January 2027 with no advisories.
