John Goldsmith of Goldsmith and Young ( an Aston Martin race specialist) acquired the car in 2008 .

The car was then subject to a full rebuild ,bare metal respray (with photos to show work carried out) all parts renewed including new block and engine internals etc .

In 2010 it was purchased by Mr Nigel Batchelor for £110,000 .

Under his ownership between 2010 and 2017 a further circa £90,000 was spent including rebuilt 3.0 litre engine etc (with invoices to show works carried out)

Included in the file is a list of specification including a rolling road test showing around 200 HP and a fairly flat torque curve peaking at 180lb/ft which makes the car very smooth to drive .

The car was raced and rallied extensively in the Motor Legends Woodcote Trophy,Historic Grand Prix Cars Association races,the Goodwood members meeting,Le Mans Classic (three times),Tour Auto (4th place),Aston Martin Owners Club and the Fifties Sports Car Club .

In 2017 the car was converted to SU carbs,the gearbox was rebuilt and the car was put in to storage .

In 2025 the car was taken out of storage and £20,000 was spent with Classic Performance Engineering on recommissioning the car and converting it more to a road car ,the fuel tank was was replumbed ,all brake cylinders and master cylinder replaced,brake drums at the front changed and new brake shoes all round .

The car now delivers circa 220 bhp and is good for 130 mph ,it drives superbly on the road and recently completed the Moto Ireland rally in July 2026 without any issues .

The car comes with Current HTP and FIVA documents .
