Description

2003 PORSCHE 996 TURBO CABRIOLET MANUAL | PORSCHE EXCLUSIVE CCX | ALUMINIUM PACK | 54,000 MILES | 16 SERVICES
Finding a really good manual 996 Turbo Cabriolet is becoming difficult. Finding one with this level of Porsche Exclusive ‘CCX’ specification is another matter altogether. But when you find one in the arguably the most desirable colour combination of black over black with this level of provenance and maintenance it really sets itself apart from the crowd.
Ordered with extensive Porsche Exclusive equipment, the original factory build sticker confirms a wonderful collection of X-coded Exclusive options together with 09971/09991 Custom Tailoring/Exclusive manufacture codes.
And it absolutely looks the part. The interior features the fabulous Aluminium Package, including aluminium detailing to the steering wheel, gear lever and handbrake, aluminium-look instrument dials and one of our favourite features: the hard-backed Sports Seats with their backs beautifully finished in gloss. Add Porsche Crests embossed into the headrests, heated seats and extended leather detailing to the sun visors, steering-column casing and inner sill areas and this feels very different from the average 996 Turbo.
Then comes the history.
Despite covering just 54,000 miles, it has an extraordinary 16 service stamps from some of the very best names: Porsche Main Dealer, JZM Porsche and Supercar Services ltd of London. This special 911 Turbo has been adored and loved.
And it hasn't simply been stamped.
In 2023 it received a new clutch, dual-mass flywheel, coolant hoses and roof tension cables. 2024 brought replacement headlamp side joints, while 2026 expenditure includes CV joints and boots, front AND rear discs and pads, two rear tyres and four-wheel alignment. The history also records steel brake lines, differential seals, exhaust manifold, battery, alternator and intercooler heat shields and we can see extensive suspension work has been lavished.
The 996 Turbo is also rapidly emerging as one of the rising stars of the Porsche world. Collector interest in these Mezger-engined cars continues to grow, with good manual examples becoming increasingly difficult to find. Add this car’s rare Porsche Exclusive specification, low mileage and extraordinary history and, while it should first and foremost be bought to enjoy, we think it represents a particularly prudent Porsche to own..
