Up for sale is an honest, mechanically sound pre-facelift EP3 Type R. It has been properly looked after mechanically, drives tight, and has none of the common structural corrosion issues that plague so many cars at this age. Last 80k or so miles have been motorway miles for work.

Largely original, retaining the factory exhaust and setup with only an upgraded air filter fitted.

Mechanical & Maintenance

The K20A2 engine pulls strong across the entire rev range and crosses over cleanly into VTEC. The 6-speed gearbox is tight with smooth shifts and zero crunch into 2nd gear, even from cold.

A substantial amount of preventative maintenance and key wear items have been sorted recently:

Idle Air Control Valve

Starter motor

Brakes: Fresh discs, pads, and calipers

Suspension: Various worn suspension components refreshed

Cooling: Fresh coolant flush and change

Long MOT valid through to April 2027

Condition

Underbody & Shell: Structurally solid. Rear arches and sills are clean with no bubbling and no historical welding.

Bodywork: Finished in Satin Silver Metallic. Straight panels throughout, with light cosmetic age-related marks, stone chips, and imperfections consistent with the age and mileage.

Interior: Complete factory Type R interior, may sell with head unit or return to standard/older bluetooth unit if desired. Clean and functional cabin, with honest, light wear on the seat bolsters and steering wheel commensurate with age. All electrics, switchgear, and dashboard controls work as they should.
