This is the 408ps twin-motor, all-wheel-drive version. It runs a 78kWh battery with 75kWh usable, good for up to around 300 miles on the WLTP cycle depending on specification. It charges at up to 150kW on a rapid charger, around 34 minutes for 10 to 80 percent, and has an 11kW onboard charger for faster home and destination charging. Polestar's high voltage battery warranty runs for 8 years or 100,000 miles, covering the battery if its health falls below 70 percent. On this car that means cover until 2031 or roughly another 38,000 miles, whichever comes first, and it stays with the car. There is also a 12-year corrosion warranty. The Polestar 2 was the first car with Google built in, so Google Maps, Google Assistant and the Play Store run natively on the 11-inch centre screen, with Apple CarPlay also available. There is a 12.3-inch digital driver display, and the software keeps improving through over-the-air updates. Front and rear parking sensors and a reversing camera are fitted, along with 19-inch alloys and LED lights front and rear. Practicality is better than the fastback shape suggests, with 405 litres in the boot, a 35 litre front storage compartment and 1,095 litres with the rear seats folded. It can also tow up to 1,500kg.
