Racing Lines are pleased to offer this lovely Porsche Cayman (987.2) which is fitted with the 2.9 litre 266 bhp engine and Porsche’s superb 7 speed dual clutch PDK gearbox This well optioned facelifted series 2 Cayman has been well maintained by its meticulous Porsche Owners Club member for the last 5 Years and is gorgeous in Guards Red with full black leather interior with the desirable sports heated seats.

The Car

Delivered new in May 2009 by Porsche Centre Silverstone, this Cayman was optioned with the incredibly comfortable and supportive desirable hard backed leather sports seats complete with seat heating and Porsche crests on the headrests. The interior is further improved with the carbon pack and full leather on the dash with the largely black interior lifted by the contrasting body coloured transmission tunnel and red seat belts. On the outside the Pirelli shod Porsche Turbo II alloys further enhance this Cayman and really set of the guards red paintwork. The original outdate Porsche entertainment system has been replace with an up to date Kenwood touch screen system.

Provenance and Condition

The Porsche comes with a comprehensive service history with main dealers and Porsche specialists, which shows it has been well maintained during its life showing 10 service stamps in the fully complete Porsche owners Pack. The current owner, a lady Porsche Club member, purchased the Porsche in May 2021 and has maintained the car meticulously and invested in keeping it in near perfect condition. Significant recent expenditure saw the front sub-frame replaced due to cracks and the front suspension fully refreshed and 4 new Pirelli PZero tyres fitted of the correct Porsche N specification. On the mechanical front in addition to regular engine servicing the PDK clutch/gearbox was treated to the essential 6 and 12 year services. A recent advisory free MOT and service have the Cayman ready to enjoy.

On the Road

The Mid-engine Porsche Cayman is still probably one of the best handling cars that Porsche has ever produced with a degree of precision, control and exploitability that has rarely been equalled with a super responsive PDK transmission and the great sound of the 2.9litre flat six engine. This really is a tremendously engaging driver’s car that also manages to be incredibly practical and usable with loads of storage space for that long road trip.

The interior is a special place to be and the lack of wear testament to Porsche’s quality with a real hewn from solid feel that few cars can match. The interior package on this car being particularly appealing, the sports seats, leather covered dash, carbon insets and red transmission tunnel all help set it above other Cayman’s of this era.
