2002 HONDA INSIGHT

I Sourced this from Japan knowing how much they look after their cars, they don't salt the roads so the underneath looks like a two year old car and any inspection welcome. I have pics I just can't add them as I am at my limit so please do ask.

New hybrid lithium battery fitted at a cost of £2,500 by Peter Perkins (Invoice shown in pics) who is you look up is the 'go to' person for Gen 1 Honda Insight, It doesn't have a plug in fitted, avoid one that does as it means it has a cheaper or 'refreshed' battery and the original battery was never designed to be plugged in.

Last serviced in September 2025, using all very hard to source Honda parts.

MOT has just expired a new one is booked in so rest assured it will be MOT'd with no issues before any sale takes place.

Honda are no strangers to innovation, and the Insight is amongst the most innovative 21st-century cars in the Japanese marque's legendary back catalogue. The Insight's lightweight aluminium body, slippery aerodynamics, and tiny 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine, with electric motor assistance, made for a remarkably economical car.

The Gen 1 Insight was also made alongside the Honda NSX in the same factory, a nod to how much investment was made in both cars.

Mileage: 38,000 (Lowest in country) Collector Grade. The photo's don't do the car justice, the electric blue colour really stands out.

It's in brilliant condition, obviously it's near 25 years old. I have several cars and I am very particular about what I add in my collection and it easily passed the test. I am only selling as I have another car arriving and I insist all my cars live in a garage and I need the space.

Speedo reads in kph but there is a very neat Japanese-fitted heads-up display reads in mph, happy to send a vid if you like.

Air con blows ice cold

There is a Japanese fitted stereo with Japanese sat nav but the tape player works

The fuel economy is insane, handy these days doing 90 MPG!

This will be cheaper and in better shape battery wise than any others for sale, plus the lowest mileage.

If you want a collectors grade example this is the one.
