This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Classic Sale at the NEC Classic Motor Show 2026 on Sunday the 15th of November, NEC, Birmingham, B40 1NT. Estimated price: GBP 4,000 - GBP 6,000.

Declared as manufactured in 1962 and imported from Sweden, before being first registered in the UK on 24/10/1988. Retains its kilometre speedometer and Swedish-labelled dashboard controls. Recently added GPS speedometer reading in mph

Finished in Slate Blue over a light blue leathercloth and grey cloth interior and fitted with a sliding fabric sunroof, believed to be a Webasto

Indicating 68,679km at the time of cataloguing. Acquired by our vendor on 25/10/2025, with the V5C recording six former registered keepers

Powered by the 1,778cc four-cylinder B18 engine upgraded with twin SU carburettors, an aluminium intake manifold and pancake filters. Further upgrades include a later 4-speed manual gearbox with overdrive

During 2026, our vendor commissioned work totalling £3,568.93, including reconditioned carburettors, a new coil, electronic ignition/distributor, water pump, Mk1 Land Rover brake servo, fuel pipes and filter, welding to the driver's side front floor and resealing of the windscreen. Further work included a replacement passenger door handle, matching lock barrels for both doors and the boot, reinstatement of the steering-wheel horn push with Maserati twin air horns and new number plates. The carburettors were subsequently tuned by a mobile mechanic, although no invoice is available for this work

An invoice from 2025 records a service including new spark plugs, oil and filter, together with replacement water pipes, steering rack coupling, oil-pressure switch, heater return pipe and rubber seals

The history file also contains invoices from the previous owner dating from 2019 to 2024 totalling £5,353.36, together with earlier invoices from 2017 to 2018 totalling £1,864.26

Last MOT tested on 14/07/2015 at 53,623km. The lower bodywork shows areas of age-related deterioration and will need addressing prior to another MOT
