1946 MG

A particularly early 1946 MG TC with an excellent history and remarkably well-documented provenance.

Originally exported to Belgium, this MG spent the majority of its life there. During the 1990s it was acquired by Belgian architect Ettienne Dusart, who subsequently commissioned a comprehensive restoration after the car had been laid up for a period.

The restoration was undertaken in the mid-2000s by a professional Belgian MG specialist and took several years to complete. The work was extensive, with the engine, gearbox, front and rear axles, instruments, bodywork, wings and interior all restored. The result is an exceptionally well-presented and mechanically sorted example.

Following the restoration, the MG was moved to Moià, Spain, where it remained in Ettienne's ownership. It covered remarkably little mileage during this period. Sadly, in his later years Ettienne ceased driving the car and it subsequently passed to its current ownership.

The car has covered approximately 3,000 miles since its restoration and has been maintained regardless of mileage. It has been regularly greased and serviced, with routine oil and filter changes and careful cosmetic upkeep.

The MG is described as being in exceptional condition, with everything functioning correctly. It drives beautifully, with precise steering, a well-running engine and a properly assembled chassis and body. It benefits from a new hood, tonneau cover and sidescreens.

Importantly, the car retains its originality, with nothing changed from the original specification beyond the work required during its restoration and subsequent maintenance.
