1987 FORD SIERRA

DP Vehicles are pleased to present arguably the most iconic fast Ford ever, a 1987 Ford Sierra RS 3 door Cosworth finished in the desirable Moonstone Blue. This all original example has covered a mere 35,600 miles by 1 former keeper and is in outstanding condition inside and out.A car built to not just enable Ford to take part in the 1980's International Touring Car Racing in Group A, but actually win the 1987 World Touring Car Championship - very fitting for our 1987 model. Ford had to create 5,000 units of the Sierra 3 door Cosworth to enable Ford to compete through the late 80's, and rest assured, there's nowhere near 5,000 left in a road worthy state. This Sierra 3 door Cosworth has completely original paintwork and interior, and is in fantastic condition. The underbody and engine bay has also undergone an intensive nut and bolt restoration recently at the cost of £25,000. We can confidently say that you will not find another example like this one. This Sierra 3 door Cosworth is a fantastic example. For as far as we know, all the paintwork is completely original, as well as all the body panels. Looking at the bonnet for example, if you look closely, you will notice small blemishes from the original panel and paintwork. The engine bay has been intensely detailed to manufacturer specification and looks brand new. The whole undercarriage has had a complete overhaul, including the exhaust and suspension components, again to manufacturer specification. The car was registered on 26/01/1987 from Haynes Maidstone, Kent. It even has all the original dealership stickers on the rear windows as well as the original Haynes Ford number plates still on the car. Better yet, the car has NEVER left the county of Kent. We believe the car has been in the same family throughout its life, where the keeper's son then took ownership after his father.
