The Capri 2.8 Injection was the first offering of the new Special Vehicle Engineering (SVE) operation that had recently been set up in Dunton, Essex

SVE added a Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection system, an oil/water heat exchanger, viscous coupled fan and an improved radiator giving 158bhp, a 130mph top speed and a 0-60mph time of 7.9 seconds

This particular car, finished in Ford Diamond White (Code B3), is one of the last ever examples to be registered in the UK, on a rare E-prefix

The supplying Ford Main Dealer, Maidenhead Autos, registered the car on 01/08/1987 and supplied it to first owner, J & A Electrics of Uxbridge, who kept the car for an incredible 18 years

The accompanying history file contains a vast number of receipts/invoices from specialist suppliers, including The Capri Club, along with almost every MOT dating back to the very first in 1990 plus the original Ford handbooks/guides, all helping to corroborate the indicated 60,869 miles
