Description
First seen as a homologated version of the 993 in 1995, a 996 and 997 version would follow, all featuring a Mezger twin turbo flat six powering the rear wheels only. All were terrifyingly fast on full boost, earning them the widow maker reputation, as lesser morsels ran out of talent when the car was fully lit.
At a price that was approximately £70,000 more than the equivalent, also very capable 997 GT3 when new, it took a considered hand to tick the thrill seekers box for ordering the GT2.
So few did in fact, it is understood only 62 units came to the UK in RHD C16 specification, making them one of the rarer 911s. However, rarer still is M003 Clubsport package, it is believed that this box was ticked only sixteen times, making these an incredibly unusual find today.
And yet, that is exactly what we are thrilled to offer for sale here.
Registered on the 14thof March 2009 and supplied by Porsche Centre Reading to a Mr S Ivermee, it is finished in Carraraweiss with black Clubsport interior complete with roll cage, red seat belts and fire extinguisher. The full specification is listed below.

Pleasingly this example whilst not high mileage at 43,300 miles, has been used as Porsche intended. With just three former keepers, a meticulous regular maintenance history from Porsche OPCs and specialists from new, it still presents in immaculate condition throughout and will be fully prepared to our exacting standards at point of sale.
Our Thoughts
On paper, there many cars today that will match or beat the pure stats of a 997 GT2, but it’s the way these cars light up with the aids fully switched off as the power is being deployed to the rear wheels only, that still demands absolute respect from the driver. Make no mistake, very rarely does someone get out of a GT2 feeling short changed!
So, the 997 GT2 Clubsport, a rare guaranteed future classic, that’s a sure-fire safe investment?
We think so.
