First registered in September 2023, this five-door electric SUV has a tested battery health of 93%. It is a brilliant fit for families and daily commuters who want generous cabin space, smart technology and zero tailpipe emissions. The electric motor sends 346 ps to the rear wheels through a smooth automatic gearbox. That Rear-Wheel Drive setup takes this Model Y from 0 to 60 mph in 6.6 seconds and on to a top speed of 135 mph. It draws from a 61.8 kWh total battery, giving you 57.5 kWh of usable capacity and a WLTP range of up to 283 miles. A standard heat pump helps keep things efficient in colder weather. When it is time to plug in, it supports up to 170 kW DC rapid charging for quick top-ups on longer trips, as well as 11 kW 3-phase AC charging. Inside, the cabin is clean and practical. A 15-inch touchscreen sits at the centre of the dashboard with built-in Sat Nav and radio, while air con keeps the temperature comfortable year-round. There is plenty of room across the five seats, and both the front and rear seats are heated for cold mornings. Practicality is a real strong point on the Model Y, offering a huge 854 litres of total cargo volume with the seats up, which includes the front trunk. Out on the road, our workshop test drive showed no issues, and the radio and air con were checked and working as they should. The battery was professionally tested in October 2026 and recorded a strong 93.1% state of health. It also comes with an MOT until September 2027, so it is ready to drive away. Running costs: charging at home on a smart tariff at around 7p per kWh, a full charge of the 61.8kWh battery costs roughly £4.33 for up to 283 miles of advertised range. That works out at about 1.5p a mile, against around 18p a mile for a diesel car doing 50mpg with diesel at £2.00 a litre, or about £51 for the same 283 miles. Prices vary, so treat these as a guide.
