Description
This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Classic Sale at the NEC Classic Motor Show 2026 on Sunday the 15th of November, NEC, Birmingham, B40 1NT. Estimated price: GBP 35,000 - GBP 40,000.
Supplied new by Appleyard Ripon Ltd. to Robert Deegan of Leeds on 6 September 1973, with just three keepers from new, two being father and son.
Finished in its original Old English White, complemented by Olive leather, a rare and particularly elegant combination.
Powered by Jaguar’s formidable 5.3-litre V12, paired with the desirable manual gearbox, offering effortless performance and distinguished grand touring ability.
Delightfully original and unrestored, the car was Ziebart-treated when new, a protective measure that has clearly proved effective over the decades.
Following minor body refurbishment some years ago, the exterior has recently been fully refinished to a superb standard, retaining the character of this cherished example.
Enhanced by a new set of Chrome Wire Wheels, complementing the E-Type’s unmistakable lines and sporting elegance.
Retaining its original registration, RUB 888M, the car is accompanied by a comprehensive history file, including the original handbooks, Passport to Service, Repair and Operation Manual and Parts Catalogue.
Increasingly difficult to find in such condition, this is an E-Type that is neither over-restored nor in need of restoration, simply a carefully cherished and beautifully presented example. Your early inspection is welcomed and encouraged to fully appreciate the opportunity on offer.
