Finished in elegant Regency Red (L11) with a contrasting Oatmeal interior, this appealing Lotus Elan combines timeless styling with the celebrated agility for which the marque is renowned

Dating from June 1973, it was built in left-hand drive to the Federal / Export specification, which originally featured twin Zenith-Stromberg carburettors

Acquired by the present custodian some five years ago, the car has since been converted to right-hand drive and benefited from a comprehensive rebuild, with considerable investment directed towards its mechanical integrity and overall presentation

The chassis has been replaced with a new Spyder frame and the suspension and braking systems have received extensive attention, including new suspension components, brake discs, calipers and brake lines

Electrical reliability has been addressed through the installation of a new wiring harness, while the radiator has been reconditioned and a replacement fuel tank fitted

Further improvements include new tyres, carpets and roof lining, enhancing both its road-going credentials and interior presentation.
