2019 FERRARI 812 SUPERFAST S-A

There is little subtle about a Ferrari 812 Superfast, but the additions to this 2019 example have been chosen with a clear sense of purpose. Novitecs carbon rear wing and carbon front spoiler give the long bonnet and fastback profile a more assertive finish, while its sport springs sit the car neatly over 20-inch dark painted forged wheels. Yellow brake callipers and carbon Scuderia shields complete an exterior that rewards a closer look.

The car is presented in Rosso coloured PPF, with its original Nero Daytona paintwork beneath. It is a striking finish that works especially well against the darker wheels and exposed carbon fibre. The Novitec power-optimised exhaust adds another dimension to the car, allowing the naturally aspirated V12 to take a more prominent role in the experience.

Crema leather brings a lighter, more elegant feel to the cabin. The Daytona-style seats have Cavallino stitching on the headrests and coloured special stitching, while carbon fibre has been specified for the driver zone with LEDs, dashboard inserts, inner door handles and underdoor covers. The yellow rev counter is a fitting focal point behind the steering wheel; the passenger display makes the journey rather more involving from the other seat.

A suspension lifter and high-power Hi-Fi system add useful breadth to the specification. Having covered 27,100 miles, this 812 combines one of Ferraris great V12 grand tourers with a substantial set of visual and mechanical Novitec enhancements. It is a particularly compelling example for someone seeking the drama of an 812 with a presence and soundtrack all its own.
