EXTERIOR
This stunning example is one of the last Z3’s, model designation E36/7, built prior to the introduction of the all new Z4. Finished in factory optional Topaz Blue Metallic, (Code 364), this incredible car has covered just 11,867 miles from new and remains in show-winning condition throughout. The paintwork is magnificent boasting a deep uniform shine and polished finish. The panels are pin straight with no damage or dings and the trim sections and badges are as new. The underside and wheel apertures are beautifully clean reflective of garage storage and dry weather use. The original three-layer soft-top is fully intact no fading and only faint marks. The Perspex rear screen is clear and displays only light imperfections where it folds. Astonishing condition commensurate with the ultra-low mileage and pampered care.
INTERIOR
Preserved in keeping with such low mileage is the factory optional Black Classic leather upholstery, (Code R7SW), which is spotlessly clean with firm bolsters retaining correct shape. The leather trimmed steering wheel still shows prominent grain to the rim and the matching black door cards and carpeting are impeccable, the latter still protected by the genuine BMW carpet mats. The dashboard is perfect and houses fully functioning equipment to include the original BMW Business stereo system which features a factory optional 6-disc changer in the boot. The boot area is pristine with jack as well as genuine BMW warning triangle, tool roll and first aid kit. The often-lost maintenance card in the boot lid sleeve is still present and the boot carpet even has the small felt jack locator sticker still attached! A fabulously preserved interior, ready for open top enjoyment in seconds.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The immaculately clean engine bay complete with factory stickers and labels is fitted with BMW’s proven 1895cc bulletproof four-cylinder engine. The power output of 118bhp and 180Nm maximum torque achieves 0-62mph in 10.4 seconds and a top speed of 122mph. The five-speed manual gearbox is precise and slick in operation and the overall performance is everything you would expect from a low mileage and cared for ultimate driving machine.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Beautiful BMW alloy wheels in Cross Spoke Style 42 were an expensive £1,575 factory option. The wheels are in superb condition with no kerb damage and the BMW roundel centre caps perfectly preserved. Matching Michelin Primacy 225/50 R16 tyres were fitted in October 2026. Front and rear disc brakes with anti-lock assistance (ABS) offer superb stopping power.
HISTORY FILE
Supplied new by BMW Main Dealers, Lind of Norwich, this example was registered new on 26th April 2002 and has covered a documented 11,867 miles from new. Paperwork in the history file details the purchase new price of just over £20,000 including factory options. The original BMW black leather wallet houses all handbooks, and both sets of keys with dealer fobs. A folder of service invoices and previous MOT certificates is present, and the most recent full service was carried out in October 2026. The previous owner of around eight years is a BMW fanatic and member of the BMW Car Club who in the early years of ownership took the car to local classic cars shows where it won several awards. Such was his passion for the car that he invested in a scissor car lift for his home garage so that he could detail the underside of the car and wheel apertures! This prime example is also supplied with a BMW personalised registration number. A unique opportunity to acquire an unspoilt, pampered and exceptionally low mileage example of the now highly collectable Z3.
MOT October 2027, HPI Clear.
