Description

These cars are proving to be a hidden gem, this one is still taut to drive, not baggy as many are at 100K + miles, no knocks squeaks or rattles from the interior or suspension. Engine/transmission wise it's standard and so is the exhaust, so it's quiet at idle/when cruising, but sounds like a proper BMW straight-6 when extended. It's in excellent condition with a full BMW service history up to 86K miles, and thereafter all BMW independent specialists.

All the history is documented in its own separate file.

Pretty much all of the typical issues these suffer from have been addressed, along with some sensible upgrades. Look for "Sofa" and his thread "BMW E82 125i Coupe" on here.

There's no servicing due, and it has had a brake fluid change and 12 months MOT as of 13.10.26, so is ready for a new owner to enjoy driving.

Optional Extras :

Professional ‘CIC’ iDrive including navigation.

Heated Front Seats.

Cruise Control.

Auto Lights/Wipers.

Dyno'ed at 107,000 miles on Litchfield's MAHA dyno, not mapped and showed 217hp and 205 torques (1hp down from stock and 6 torques up)

New Varta AGM battery fitted and coded in 2022 at around 79,000 miles

New genuine BMW steering rack and upper rear control arms at 79,165 miles

New genuine BMW water pump and thermostat at 85,263 miles

New oil sump gasket at 89,749 miles1 new coil pack fitted at around 97,000 miles to cure a misfire.

I’ve since ordered the other 5 to fit preventatively, but never got around to fitting them- they'll be included in the sale of the car.

New oil filter housing and oil cooler gaskets, rear differential seals, rear reluctor rings and rear ABS/wheel speed sensors done at 98,583 miles

Front brakes upgraded to 130i spec (330mm discs), with new caliper carriers and ATE discs and ATE ceramic pads, also at 98,583 miles

Bilstein B12 Pro Kit (Bilstein B8 dampers, Eibach Pro springs) This is a significant upgrade on the stock suspension. Sits approx. 10mm lower than the M-Sport suspension so provides a nice but subtle drop with no worries about bottoming out. Fitted at 99,576 miles

VANOS screw recall (including new rocker cover gasket) done by BMW at 99,903 miles

Major service inc. spark plugs and air filter, and rear brake pads done at 103,056 miles (July 2025) with the rear discs reportedly well within spec

New starter motor fitted at 105,021 miles

Michelin Pilot Sport 5’s all round with plenty of tread- new rears fitted approx. 8,000 miles ago, fronts approx. 4,000 miles ago

Wheels refurbished in August 2025 so are in excellent condition with no curb damage- however one has annoyingly picked up a stone chip since.

New centre caps and ‘M’ stickers also recently fitted.

MOT and brake fluid change carried out 13.10.2026 by my local BMW Indy, no other servicing required until Summer 2027.

NB. The previous owner highlighted the car does occasionally suffer from clutch judder on cold and damp days, and stated he believed this was due to condensation on the clutch/flywheel and that it goes away after a few engagements of the clutch. I can confirm this is the case, and that it's not got any worse over the past 4,000 miles/9 months.

A few cosmetic defects that are to be expected for the car's age and mileage, but overall the car presents very well

£6495

I think this is fair considering the service history, spec and condition. A quick look on AT and PH shows very few are available, I'm guessing because those that know, have cottoned on to what a great and increasingly rare thing a manual, normally aspirated rear-wheel drive BMW is these days.

Do please get in touch and I’ll be happy to answer any further questions and arrange viewings for serious buyers- test drives will be done by me (or prospective purchasers at my discretion) the latter only with proof of fully comprehensive insurance. Two viewers maximum only please.

Please, do not make offers without viewing the car. No canvassers, no auction sites, no "I need the car inspected, here's a link to a company that will arrange for you to take the car to them for inspection" type scams. DM me via PH initially with any questions you may have, and if you're genuinely interested, we can speak further on the phone.

The car is located at WR10
