Utilising a U.S. specification 911 as its basis, The Bahrain Commission was ordered new by the current owner and built to his unique specification for use in his home country of Bahrain. This was among the earliest Porsche 911s to be Reimagined by Singer being just the 24th Classic Services example completed, and was built between June 2014 and March 2015.

The Bahrain Commission is finished in the warm paint-to-sample hue of Bahrain Orange, accented with ghosted racing side stripes with brown lettering and rear decklid script in 24-carat gold. Externally, both external fuel and oil filters were specified, along with seam-welding of the chassis (a $10,000 option), and a carbon fibre roof. Inside, four-way adjustable sport seats with Piano Black seat backs are finished in a tasteful Tobacco Brown leather, further complemented by a rollbar, and rear seats with clip-on backrests next to the harness bar. One lovely touch is the car’s early 911 gauge set, with the tachometer finished in black with orange markings to match the paintwork, while the remainder of the gauges are finished in the traditional Porsche green.

Over the course of the past decade, The Bahrain Commission has been serviced and maintained by the consignor’s in-house mechanics, who are regularly in touch with Singer’s teams in the U.K. and Los Angeles in an effort to ensure the car was always performing at its best. Keenly aware of the growth and success of Singer as a company and how the Classic Services 911s have advanced over time, the consignor recently opted to have a handful of upgrades performed on his car to improve overall drivability, including fitting the Porsche Classic Navigation head unit enabled with Apple CarPlay, as well as Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, which were supplied by Singer at a cost of approximately $40,000 USD.

Today, The Bahrain Commission has been driven approximately 4,469 km since its recommissioning and remains in excellent condition throughout. The car’s fuel bladder was replaced last year, having been supplied by Singer and shipped to Bahrain for fitment, and will remain valid until 2032. Importantly, the car was supplied without catalytic converters fitted to the exhaust, but these were provided alongside the car at delivery and accompany the car today, should the next owner choose to have these fitted.

Because The Bahrain Commission is being sold in partnership between RM Sotheby’s Private Sales and Singer Vehicle Design, it will be offered with a 12-month warranty from Singer Vehicle Design.

A spectacular example of one of Singer’s earliest creations, The Bahrain Commission is presented today in wonderful condition both inside and out—a testament to the both the level of care that has been lavished upon it over the course of the past 11 years and the quality of Singer’s work. Ready to drive and enjoy, The Bahrain Commission would be a spectacular acquisition for someone seeking a tastefully specified and well-optioned Classic Services 911 that has been cherished since day one.
